Let’s cut to the chase, below you can see how much scalp micropigmentation costs (UK). Read on for more detail.

SMP Pricing in UK

*All treatments include a free consultation to determine whether you are a candidate and also answer any questions you may have.

Scalp Micropigmentation price can vary. Our prices are tailored to the needs of each customer as no scalp is the same, but above are some ballpark figures. Although prices are a contributing factor to your treatment, make sure it is not the deciding factor, you may be left with some regrets.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is considerably less than a hair transplant, and also a lot less invasive. Where a hair transplant may not be 100% successful, a hair tattoo will. It's something to consider when looking at your hair loss solutions, it's best to speak with a specialist to help make the best decision for you. If you are reading this guide you are more than likely aware of what SMP is and the process behind it, but for those who don't SMP creates the illusion of a full head of hair by creating hair follicle impressions with techniques similar to tattooing. Although SMP does not stimulate hair growth, it will make the anxiety of losing hair a thing of the past.

SMP It is for men and women alike, although mostly men go for hair tattoos, whereas women are typically more familiar with microblading which is where eyebrows are tattooed to create a style of their choice. For SMP treatment we often refer to the Norwood Scale which is a guideline to identify and measure the extent of male pattern baldness. It is said that men typically lose their hair in one of many patterns, making it a great guideline to identify the stages and act accordingly.

Top of Head

Top Head SMP Pricing

Top of the head treatment is your classic receding hairline or balding just on top of the head. This is typically the most common type of hair tattoo, giving the shaved head look, with a tailored hairline. We recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to ensure the impressions look as real as possible, there potentially maybe more depending on your scalp/pigment type and other variables.

Total - £1050

Density Work

Density Work

Do you have a thin head of hair? Would you like to make it look thicker? Great, we have a solution for you. Density work is for people with long hair and gives the impression that their hair is thicker than it is by darkening the scalp. Again, we typically say a minimum of 3 sessions to give the most realistic results, but depending on variables there may need to be more sessions.

Total: £900

Full Head

Full Head Scalp Micropigmentation Pricing

If you are looking to create a full head treatment, we got you covered. Our full head sessions cost a little more due to the work that goes into the procedure. As always, 3 sessions are recommended but are subject to change depending on various factors.

Total: £1650

Our Procedure

First (Free) Consultation

During the first session, we will get acquainted and then we will perform an initial assessment to get a full understanding of your requirements. For best results, we would ideally perform the assessment in person, but if not we can do an assessment via google video calls. Then, once the assessment is complete we can:

a) Determine whether you are eligible for SMP

b) Walk you through the exact breakdown of your procedure

c) Accurate quote

If you are eligible and happy with our quote, we can then move on to the next stage.

First Treatment Session

For your scalp micropigmentation to look the best quality and authentic is simply can't be done in a day of treatment. That's why we say as a rule of thumb you will require a minimum of three sittings. The reason for this is to add a layered 3D look, otherwise it could look 2D and like someone drew on your head, and we are guessing that isn't the appearance you are going for.

In your first session, we will start mapping out your treatment (of course this will vary depending on your required treatment). After mapping out, you will be left with some initial impressions.

Second Treatment Session

In your second session, we will sit down and make more impressions to give your scalp a layered looking effect. It will start to all come together in this session. Grain , density and darkness will be added to give a natural effect.

Third Treatment Session

For some individuals, this may be your last treatment, but in this session, we will make more impressions on your scalp and finishing touches. We will also give you a complete aftercare guide to ensure that you are left with long-lasting results.

(Potential) Fourth Treatment Sessions

Don’t worry, if you require more than three sessions it isn’t bad, it just means that we need to do a little extra work to ensure we give you the best results possible. This could be down to many factors, such as:

  • The size of the area being treated
  • Existing hair density
  • Skin type
  • Pigment type
  • Potential scarring
  • Your ideal result
  • Oily skin
  • Bad aftercare

Aftercare

At this point, we have done our bit and the ball is now in your court. If you are familiar with the tattoo procedure you will know it’s important to make sure you look after your tattoo to get the best result possible. In your final session, we will give you a breakdown and guide of what to do to make sure we have you covered.

Follow-ups (Optional)

Our follow up treatments are optional, your new hair tattoo will last 3-4 years before it will require a follow up. Once these sessions are done, your scalp will look as good as new.
